2013 Gold Canadian Polar Bear Quarter oz

Description

The Canadian Gold Polar Bear coin is hard to find because the Royal Canadian Mint often places strict limits on mintage of the coins. In recent years, mintage has been capped at 2,000 coins, making the Gold Polar Bear a rare find. The 2013 oz. Canadian Gold Polar Bear coins are in brilliant, uncirculated condition, showing no signs of wear and tear.

On the reverse side of the Canadian Gold Polar Bear coin is the namesake image of the product. In the design, a lone polar bear is featured walking along an ice shelf. The background is the flat, barren landscape of the open tundra in the Arctic Circle. Engravings include Canada, and the weight, purity, and metal content of the coin.

The obverse side features artist Susanna Blunts right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty’s depiction is surrounded by the engravings Elizabeth II, the face value of the coin, and its year of minting.
