Gold Canadian Arctic Fox 1/4-oz 2014

The 2014 Canadian 1/4 oz $10 Gold Arctic Fox is a limited mintage coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint and was only minted one year – 2014 thus quantities are very limited.  The reverse of the coin features Canadian artist Maurice Gervais rendition of an Arctic Fox (Vulpes lagopus) in its natural habitat.

The obverse features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the year and face value.  The Arctic Fox is a sovereign coin fully backed by the Canadian government.  The limited mintage coupled with backing of the Canadian government makes this coin very attractive for long-term investors looking to diversify away from US currency, particularly inside of retirement accounts.
